Message A T04E or B compressor housing will only "bolt to" a T04E or B back plate which will only "bolt to" a T3 bearing housing. Emphasis on the "bolt to" because the T25 series turbo's backplate uses a "C" clamp and can not be matched to a T3 bearing housing, which means that a T04E compressor housing can not bolt onto a T25 turbo.
The trim of the compressor wheel is completely independent of the compressor in which it goes into. For example, a given size trim comp wheel can fit into a T25, T3, T04B, or T04E (provided it is a standard shaft on the E and B).
To make things even more fun and confusing with the GT series turbos, HKS makes GT2530's and GT2540's with both T2 and T3 exhaust housings. They also make a non-actuated GT3037 with a T2 exhaust housing, yep you could bolt these right up to a Z.
This is neither here nor there, since none of us appear to have expert knowledge on these turbos. If is possible that we are all wrong. I will do some digging and get back with the truth and hopefully some dyno numbers.

: The compressor wheel is 2.00indecer/2.95exducer or 46 trim.

: GT2530 is GT25 turbin with T3 compressor. Compressor wheel is 1.90/2.36 or 63 trim.

: Big difference on the compressor side between 2530 and 2540.

Guess where these are going....
